- Turns out when making a bus ad graphic, you might want to consider where on your image certain parts of the bus will be sticking out... (Via Jason)
- Nintendo clarified some details about their upcoming WiiWare service, saying that there's not really a cap on the size of games developed for it, developers are just being encouraged to make smaller, more compact games. Developers will probably be limited to one release per month at first while Nintendo addresses possible volume issues. As for prices, no hard numbers yet, but they say the point is to offer new content at low prices.
- Wow - Super Mario Galaxy sounds fantastic. Can't wait!
- The Friday the 13th remake has a new director: Marcus Nispel, who's a bit of an old hand at remaking classic slasher films; he also did the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Production is supposed to begin soon with a release date of mid-2008.
- Apparently the Best Buy just over the bridge and up the road in Princeton, NJ has been selling their "last" Wii over and over and over again in some kind of weird scheme to sell the video game console... even faster?
- "A Dutch teenager has been arrested for stealing about $5900 worth of virtual furniture in the MMO Habbo Hotel." The guy in question is 17, and apparently he and five fifteen-year-olds were involved in a scheme where they tricked other players out of their passwords, then went into their virtual houses and nabbed their virtual furniture (bought with real money) to put in their own virtual houses. The world is a strange place.

- And while we're talking rocking rhythm games, Rock Band's uncle Guitar Hero III has some news of its own: a PC version came out on Tuesday, and a hybrid version that will work for both Macs and PCs (and which will ultimately replace the PC-only version) is on the way later this year.
- Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Dan Aykroyd will be getting the band back together, as it were, for the Ghostbusters video game.
- Batman stars in Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment in the craziest comics crossover ever. (Via)
- Wired has for us a lovely gallery that takes a look back in pictures at the history of rockers in video games. It's hard to believe some of these games ever really existed...
- Wolfenstein could be on its way soon to cell phones and your DS, as well as Quake Arena and Doom RPG.
- Sydney Poitier (that's Sidney Poitier's youngest daughter) will play a feisty FBI agent who dislikes main character Mike Tracer (Michael Knight's son) in NBC's two hour pilot for a possible Knight Rider TV show. Eh, we bet she'll warm to him eventually.
- Stephen King is giving a big thumbs up to Frank Darabont's film adaptation of his book The Mist.
- Yahoo! (via Jill) and Cinematical are both reporting that 20-year-old established actress Jessie Cave has won the role of Lavender Brown in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Brown and Ron Weasley end up as smooching partners for a good portion of the book. Meanwhile, if you're desperate for more on Half-Blood Prince, Cinematical has links to a couple of behind-the-scenes featurettes about the movie.
- Web comic creators and fans should be aware that the fourth annual Monkey Day Webcomics Marathon is coming up on Thursday, December 7th.
- Matt Frewer (better known to some as Max Headroom) has joined the cast of Watchmen as Moloch, a combination magician/villain/sad old guy.
