
- The big news this morning in both the Daily News and the Inquirer is that two more Philadelphia police officers were shot last night "as they attempted to serve a warrant in a narcotics investigation in the city's Frankford section." This morning, a 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
- The Inquirer has a bit of a preview of the major policy report PennPraxis will be unveiling tonight about the development of Philadelphia's Delaware waterfront. The short version is, they want it to be walkable, like Center City.
- Another animal abuse story: an anonymous tip led officials yesterday to the 2600 block of Fletcher Street where they "found several neglected horses living in deplorable conditions."
- City Council decided yesterday to postpone hearings on four ethics bills until "Mayor-elect Michael Nutter and at least three new Council members take office in January."
- Scheduled to be announced today at the Philadelphia Theatre Company's Suzanne Roberts Theater is a series of grants totalling $7.2 million from the New York-based philanthropic organization the Wallace Foundation to 10 Philadelphia arts organizations.
