- The cast of JLA has been chosen and locked and will finally be officially announced this week.
- Somebody named Lindsay Thompson, who's apparently in the new Incredible Hulk movie, has said on her blog that she thinks the trailer will debut during the Super Bowl.
- Mark Wahlberg might star in the film adaptation of the Max Payne video game.
- We all remember how Frank Darabont wrote a screenplay for Indy 4 that was ultimately rejected by George Lucas. Well, he's hearing stories from people close to the production that they're using a lot of Darabont's ideas in the movie anyway. He says, "I’m sure there will be an arbitration over writing credits."
- Speaking of Frank Darabont, his next project might be a re-adaptation of Fahrenheit 451, although he's also considering a film of Robert McCammon's SF novel Mine. Jeez. How many irons has that guy got in the fire at this point?
- Another fellow with a lot of irons in the fire is Ridley Scott; and now he's set to direct yet another film, this one a supernatural thriller called Stones "that deals with ancient landmarks like Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids."
- More info is out about the cast and crew of the upcoming film adaptation of Dragonball. It'll be produced by Stephen Chow, written and directed by James Wong, and star Justin Chatwin as the hero Goku and James Marsters as the villain Piccolo.
- Andre Braugher, who's starring in an upcoming A&E miniseries adaptation of Michael Crichton's novel The Andromeda Strain, says the book doesn't hold up to the test of time, and thus the miniseries is an entire retelling and update of the story.
- How about gaming for a good cause? Play this vocabulary game, and every definition you get right will mean ten grains of rice donated by the United Nations to help feed the world's hungry. "Sponsors like Macy's, Toshiba, and Office Depot pick up the tab." And since it's for a good cause and everything, we recommend cheating! - The list of unlockable bonus songs for Rock Band has been revealed and it includes a song by Timmy & The Lords of the Underworld (of South Park fame). It's called "Timmy & The Lords of the Underworld." Awesome.
- An anonymous inside source says that Marvel Universe Online, the planned massively multiplayer online game set in the popular comic book universe, is either dead or in serious trouble.
- The era of Atari is over... again. Their CEO resigned and they're getting out of the game development business, although they will continue to publish and distribute games.
- Word is that Mexican TV actress Mayrín Villanueva may have landed the part of the Bond girl in the next 007 flick. And seeing as how our jaw literally dropped when we saw the picture of her accompanying that post... thumbs up!
