- Some updates on the Day the Earth Stood Still remake: Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) will direct, Ryne Douglas Pearson wrote the screenplay, Jennifer Connelly has signed to star as Helen Benson, and Kathy Bates is in negotiations for an unnamed role. In case you blocked it out, Keanu Reeves is also starring. Ugh.
- Roger Avary says he's almost done the screenplay for his film adaptation of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but that everything's on hold until the writers' strike ends.

- Stallone is really on a roll lately! He followed up a new Rocky movie with a new Rambo movie, and now he's in talks to direct and star in a remake of Death Wish.
- Ha ha! Shia LaBeouf was arrested 2:30AM Sunday morning "at a Chicago Walgreens, where he was allegedly drunk and refusing to leave." Drunk at a Walgreens at 2:30 in the morning. Classy, Shia!
