The best of the internet, chopped into tiny bits and grilled for your enjoyment.

- Toren Atkinson (of the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, our favorite Canadian band that bases all its songs on the work of H.P. Lovecraft) has had a number of entertaining posts lately on his blog. Here's a list he put together of all the great stuff that's going to be on TCM this month. And here's a commercial he did a voice for. Heh heh.
- It's also thanks to Toren that we saw this hilarious, dead-on parody of 300 called 1776. (Via)
- Uh oh. We can't help but think that only bad things can come out of Google and MySpace working together.
- We've seen a lot of geeky cakes on the internet, but Shiny Shiny has for us The top five Geek cakes EVER!
- J.K. Rowling has already written a new book! It doesn't have Harry Potter in it, but she did mention it in the last Harry Potter book - it's called The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Sadly, our chances of getting to read it are slim, as only seven copies exist, one to be auctioned next month for charity, and the others to be given away as gifts.
- Heh. This trailer for a nonexistent Contra movie is pretty excellent.
- Sounds like the Jack Thompson debate at the Convention Center this past weekend was... interesting.
- What we'd seen so far of The Simpsons Game had gotten us pretty excited about it, but the reviews are deflating are excitement somewhat.
- Wired is collecting the latest news on the GooglePhone; sounds like by the time this post goes up, the thing may have already been announced!
- Are you ready for Phillyist: The Novel? Yeah, neither are we. But you could maybe turn your blog into a book with Blurb.
