Enon Ticket Giveaway

Enon (MySpace), the legendary super-strange avant garde indie rock band out of New York, are currently based in Philadelphia, and are playing a show here, at Johnny Brenda's, next Friday. Also performing that night will be Australian experimental pop trio Love of Diagrams (video and some mp3s here) and Statehood out of DC. We're sad to say we haven't heard much of Enon's new album, Grass Geysers...Carbon Clouds, released last month. But we are familiar with their work on Believo!, High Society, Hocus Pocus, and Onhold, four albums that are loaded with amazing, rocking, weird tracks like "For the Sum of It," "Diamond Raft," and "Storm the Gates" - as well as, of course, the occasional really annoying piece of crap. Hey, if you're an experimental band, your experiments are bound to go awry every once in a while. But that's what's cool about experimental bands - they have the guts to try crazy stuff that's sometimes going to fail.
