Proofreading Philly tries to capture typos, wordos, and all other kinds of grammatical mistakes that we see around the city. But we need your help! Email photos to us from your computer or your phone, and show the city that you care about good grammar.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the error that Phillyist GW submitted to Proofreading Philly, other than the fact that the misspelled caption is right below the properly spelled title card, is that it's from nearly a month ago, and yet nobody at cbs3.com seems to have noticed yet.
We'd give them a little credit if it were a one-time thing, but as we were compiling this post last night, we came across the little gem above. Unless the dog's parentage had something to do with its leash (kinky!), we're thinking that cbs3.com may have forgotten an "f."
Kinda makes us want to poke around the site and see what else we can come up with...

Across the Ist-a-Verse

I like the background in that picture. The anchorman looks like he has bunny ears.
Oh my – I hadn't noticed that before, but you're absolutely right!
Poor Larry Mendte. Earlier this year, they did a story on young girls and the Purity Balls they attend with their fathers as testament to their virginity.
Channel 6, while starting off the story, had the shot set up just like the one above only instead of a Septa image and the words fair hike superimposed over the image, they used a screenshot of a YouTube page that had video of one of these Purity Ball events.
This was the shot they had on in the background.
