- George Lucas is looking for "writers of real significance" to write the 13 episodes of the upcoming live-action Star Wars TV show he'll be producing and financing. Oh, thank Christ he won't be trying to write them himself! That means this show could turn out better than the prequels!
- Apparently, the technology hasn't been perfected quite yet, but a cancer-detecting bra is in the works.
- Ian McKellen said in a recent interview that he would be very pleased to play Gandalf again, should the move of The Hobbit finally get made. Yay!
- George Miller started auditioning yesterday, and will continue through today, looking for young actors to play the big roles in his upcoming directorial effort, Justice League of America. He'll present his findings to the studio midweek.
- MSNBC have selected the top 5 most memorable video game songs (although apparently what they really mean is the top 5 video games with memorable songs in them, as they never bother naming specific parts of the soundtracks). Game|Life points out that Tetris belongs on this list, and we have to agree.
- The other day we posted Joystiq's hands-on review of Super Smash Bros. Brawl; now here's one from Game|Life. The general reaction seems to be that this is more of the same as far as Smash Bros. games go - but in a good way.
- We thought the original version of The Eye was a pretty terrible film—nonsensical, predictable, clumsy, melodramatic, not particularly scary—but we have to admit that this trailer for the remake is kind of neat. (Via)
