- CNN has an article about a disturbing racist incident at Warwick High School in Lititz, PA.
- Just before midnight last night a speeding SUV crashed into a parked police patrol car on I-76 near the Conshohocken interchange. The highway was closed for five hours while the five injured people (including two troopers) were taken to the hospital and the wreckage was cleared. "KYW radio (1060 AM) reported that some trapped motorists fell asleep in their cars, and had to be awakened when the lanes were finally cleared."
- A 14-year-old, who'd been bullied so much by other students that he'd been home-schooled for the past 18 months, was allegedly planning a Columbine-type assault on Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. A student that the teen tried to recruit into his plan informed police and the boy was arrested yesterday. The potential attacker had a bedroom full of weapons (though he also had no ammunition), and apparently his parents supplied him with many of them.
- The headline of this one ("Mother convicted of swinging infant like a club") makes you stop and stare, and when you read the story, it just gets worse. The mother in question is Chytoria Graham, 28, of Erie, PA, who apparently struck her boyfriend with her 4-week-old son during an argument after she'd come home from a night of drinking. The child's skull was fractured, but he's recovering and living with Graham's family. Meanwhile, Graham is looking at a mandatory minimum prison sentence of five years.
- The hilarity in AC continues. Turns out the newly sworn in acting mayor owes $363,000 to the city, but has asked a state judge to delay the decision on how and when he must repay the debt "until this little mayoral thing works itself out."

I didn't want to steal your "Yo, Philly In The News" but it was quite literally just on the news. CNN.com to be exact, and the headline wasn't too flattering.
Jesus Christ.
