  • In honor of John Lennon's birthday, the Imagine Peace Tower (surrounded by buried capsules with wishes of peace in them) will be unveiled today on the Isle of Videy, Reykjavik, Iceland. You will supposedly be able to see the unveiling, and send your own messages of peace, at ImaginePeace.com.
  • Apparently scientists have developed a God helmet. We're not sure whether to be excited or incredibly depressed. (Via Jill)
  • We've been thinking lately about trying to get a job in the video game industry, and we bet some of you have, too. If so, check out these two blog posts, which list in exhaustive detail all the game industry positions that were open in the world when this guy did his research just recently. (Via)
  • Supposedly preproduction on a Disney/Pixar animated film version of John Carter of Mars is heating up.
  • Sadly, according to Jeffery Combs, the really subversive- and interesting-sounding House of Re-Animator is probably not going to get made.
  • Rumor is that the 40GB PS3, which was officially announced for Europe just recently, will be coming to the US on November 2nd.
