A tall, icy glass of our favorite internet junk, just for you.

- Love Guitar Hero, but tired of your lame old guitar controller that's just like everybody else's? Well, if you feel like splurging, you can pick up a $399 limited edition AG Riff Master Guitar Controller for the PS2, which is an actual guitar that's been heavily modified to have the regular fret buttons and so forth. It also features KISS artwork on the body.
- Here's kind of a neat contest: you can win a DS Lite and a copy of DK Jungle Climber just by submitting a photo with Donkey Kong Photoshopped in, climbing on something. (Via)
- Aw, the World Series of Video Games is already dead and gone. That was quick.
- An American team of scientists have merged electrons with their antimatter equivalents - positrons - to create a new form of matter: di-positronium, which was predicted to exist in 1946. The discovery (and this is totally a real quote from a real news article here) "is a key step in the creation of ultra-powerful lasers known as gamma-ray annihilation lasers." Why, yes, the military is interested! But that's not the only possible application: "the lasers could be used to kick-start nuclear fusion in a reactor." Furthermore, said one scientist, "A gamma-ray laser is the kind of thing that if it existed people would find new uses for it everyday." Like, as a better mouse trap, perhaps? There is no part of this article that is not both totally awesome and completely horrifying at the same time. (Via)
- Did you know that there exist in the world batteries that can be recharged with urine? They can also be recharged with beer, saliva, or cola, among other things. Sadly (but rather predictably, when you think about it), they're only available in Japan at the moment.
- A woman in the UK wants a perfectly smooth pubic area, but can't afford the laser treatment. So she set up a website called MillionDollarPubes.com where she's selling her pubic hairs for $200 each. For each hair you buy, you get a 10x10 pixel ad space on her site. Ah, the internet: land of a thousand wonders! (Via)
- Well, shoot. The TNT miniseries adaptation of Stephen King and Peter Straub's The Talisman is being held up by the fact that the recently completed script would require more money than had been budgeted to bring to the screen. "TNT and DreamWorks are now addressing the financial issues and looking for ways to make the series."
- HGTV's Marjie O'Connor suggests one way to sell your house in the current tough market is to throw in a unique and popular incentive: a Wii.
- Remember the whole dust up a while back about Manhunt 2 and its deadly AO rating? Well, the game will be coming out soon with an M rating now, and here are some of the details of what they edited out and changed to get that more consumer-friendly rating.
- Damn it! Yesterday was National Videogames Day and we totally missed it! Luckily, we were kind of celebrating it anyway, as we ended up doing a pretty good amount of videogaming. But still.
- Simpsons executive producer Al Jean says there are no plans to make a sequel to The Simpsons Movie, and they'd only do it if they felt it was a movie that had to be made.
- AVP2 has moved its release date to 1/18/08, the same day as Cloverfield. Good idea? Bad idea? We'll just have to wait and see.
- Looks like Jon Stewart will be hosting the Oscars again this year.
- Guess what character is coming back for the next Bond film? Mr. White! Uh... who? Yeah, apparently this guy was a villain in Casino Royale, but we just saw that movie not too long ago and we can't even remember who he was. So we can't say we're all that excited by this news, although any continuity between Bond films is always kind of interesting.
- How about a nice list? It's the ten silliest reasons the MPAA has ever given for a rating. We like "R for strong bloody ninja violence" the best ourselves. (Via)
- We believe we posted similar results to a similar study in the past, but news like this warrants a second posting: "gaming is outselling video and music in the online market." Crazy!
- Nintendo is back on top, yo! The Wii is now the top-selling current-gen console. Keep in mind Nintendo hasn't had the best-selling console since the SNES (although that was apparently only 10 years ago).
- The Movie Blog has a couple of interesting nuggets in their latest link round-up, including a video of M. Night Shyamalan talking about his upcoming film adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the news that John Rambo will be coming out on 1/25/2008.
