- Hewlett-Packard is licensing a medical patch, designed based on their inkjet technology, with up to 90,000 microscopic needles per square inch, microprocessors, and a thermal unit. "Processors can monitor drug delivery, deliver doses over extended periods of time or deliver drugs in response to a patient's vital signs." Dude, that is some sweet technology right there. - The Weinsteins just grabbed the North American rights for George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead at the Toronto Film Festival.
- Apparently, for a short time yesterday, websites "for Eternal Sonata and Beautiful Katamari listed a release date of 'TBD' for the PS3 versions of both games." The reference to the PS3 was later taken down, but this could mean the games will come out for that console eventually.
- Computer gamers need be envious no longer; Guitar Hero III will be coming out for PCs and Macs this Fall. The game will ship with a guitar controller, but will also be playable with any USB Guitar Hero controller, and even with a combination of keyboard/mouse (although playing the game that way would of course be lame and pointless). In other GH3 news, former Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello will appear as a boss in the game.

- HBO got the rights to air, sometime in 2008, a the documentary Molotov's Dispatches in Search of the Creator: a Second Life Odyssey. Yep, that's a documentary set in Second Life, filmed from the perspective of an in-game avatar. Crazy!
- "[T]he popularity of bug-collecting arcade game Mushiking (King of the Beetles) is leading Japanese fans to import a million of the insects as pets each year, decimating the indigenous population." Um, woah.
