- Rumor is that Tom Welling, who plays Clark on Smallville, will be playing Supes in the Justice League movie.
- How about an all-Metroid bullet point? Joystiq found a hidden message which seems to suggest that a long-thought dead 2D DS Metroid game called Metroid Dread might be on the way after all. Meanwhile, this detailed video review of Metroid Prime 3 from GameTrailers has got us thinking we might have to pick up a copy of the game after all (via Peccable). - To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise, Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from the first movie will be sent up into space. The best part is, the prop will be handed over to NASA representatives by an actor dressed as Chewbacca, and will then be escorted to a vault by stormtroopers, R2-D2, and other Star Wars characters, where it will be sealed in to await the eventual trip into space.
- Amazon.com is in trouble with animal activists for allowing the sale of cockfighting magazines on the site.
- Game|Life has the list of all the winners of the Best Of the Games Convention Awards for the Leipzig Games Convention, and there are a number of surprises and upsets.
- Nerd World has pulled an interesting bit out of an interview with Susan Sarandon which suggests the Wachowskis' Speed Racer movie will at least look pretty interesting.
- Survey says, 51% of teens today find out about new movies on the internet. Go internet!
- Some interesting tidbits on the film adaptation of the critically acclaimed comic Y the Last Man.
- A recent study suggests that sugar may be more addictive than cocaine. When given the choice between cocaine and sugar, rats - even those already addicted to cocaine - went for the sugar an overwhelming majority of the time. (Via Sarah)
