- It's rumored that Kevin McKidd, who's starring in NBC's upcoming TV show Journeyman, might play Thor in a movie about the Marvel Comics character.
- RKO Pictures is planning a remake of the 1945 cult horror classic Isle of the Dead, which was originally directed by Val Lewton and starred Boris Karloff.
- Speaking of remakes of cult films, Len Wiseman of Underworld fame will be directing New Line's remake of Escape From New York.
- It's always great when enough time goes by, or an actor stops caring enough, that he can finally dish the dirt on a terrible movie he made back in the day. And now that time has come for Bob Hoskins and Super Mario Brothers.
- This preview video for Metroid Prime 3 gives us some background on the origin of the Mother Brain from the first game, and strongly suggests she (or another model just like her) will be back in this one.

- A live-action Doctor Strange movie is in development from Marvel. We can't say we're surprised, but we are kind of excited anyway.
- David Slade (who made Hard Candy and the upcoming 30 Days of Night) has supposedly been selected to direct the upcoming film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere.
- Rumor is that Jason Bateman could be playing one of the title roles in Kevin Smith's upcoming film Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
- Meanwhile, another Jason is rumored to be playing Action Man in the upcoming G.I. Joe movie: Jason Statham.
