
- More details on the murder of the millionaire with two wives! The Inquirer has a report on the accused wife turning herself in yesterday, as well as some backstory on the whole relationship.
- "Sherwood Forest" - which is actually "the concourse below 15th Street linking Suburban Station with tunnels to City Hall, the Municipal Services Building, and the Broad Street Subway" - is not always the most pleasant place to be. As the Inquirer puts it: "in August, when Philly's temperature and humidity soar, the pungent odor of urine-soaked concrete is unforgettable." That's why the Center City District, a privately funded organization created to improve cleanliness, safety and the quality of life downtown, has taken it upon itself to give the place a daily scrubbing from now on.
- Russell Johnson, the acoustician who helped get the sound just right in the Kimmel Center, as well as the homes of many of the world's other great orchestras, died Tuesday in New York City. He was 83.
- The Inquirer has a little article about Center City's little piece of an international Jewish community: Moishe House Philadelphia.
- Police are getting arrest warrants for two suspects in the killing of a corner grocery store owner in Northeast Philadelphia, which happened during a robbery yesterday morning. One of the suspects is a 15-year-old boy suspected of robbing the same store in November. The other is a 19-year-old man.
