What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.
Modern Marvels (Mon, 8PM-9PM, History Channel) - Tonight's modern marvel is chocolate, so obviously this episode is required viewing. Included is the history of chocolate, the chocolate-making process (including the manufacture of M&Ms), and the many properties that chocolate is thought to possess.
LA Ink (Tue, 10PM-11PM, TLC) - Fugitive from Miami Ink Kat Von D is opening her own tattoo parlor - High Voltage Tattoo - in West Hollywood, and this is the show following her associated adventures. Should be hawt!
Dinner: Impossible (Wed, 10PM-10:30PM, Food Network) - The tricky food mission show hits Philly again in this episode wherein three Philadelphia School District lunch ladies and one sous chef attempt to cater a graduation celebration for 600 people in six hours.
Bounty Girls Miami (Thu, 9PM-10PM, Court TV) - This new show sounds like sort of a combination of Charlie's Angels and Dog the Bounty Hunter. It follows four real-life bounty hunting women who work for a bail bondsman who starts each episode by briefing them on the case at hand.
Flash Gordon (Fri, 9PM-10:30PM, Sci-Fi) - It's the debut of Sci-Fi's re-imagining of the franchise that started as a comic strip before becoming a movie serial and a cheesy '80s movie. In this opening episode, Flash is a small-town athlete who wins a marathon, discovers some secrets about his dead Dad, and then ends up being thrust into science fictiony adventures.
Stir of Echoes: The Homecoming (Sat, 9PM-11PM, Sci-Fi) - It's a Sci-Fi sequel to the original Stir of Echoes (which, btw, will be aired directly afterwards), this time starring Rob Lowe and Shawn Roberts in a story about an Iraq war veteran who has disturbing visions after returning home.
Roast of Flavor Flav (Sun, 10PM-11:30PM, Comedy Central) - Oh, good lord. Katt Williams hosts, and vicious comedy "tributes" are provided by the likes of Carrot Top, Ice-T, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Lampanelli, Brigitte Neilsen, and Snoop Dogg.
