- The 13-year-old Lansdowne boy who fatally stabbed his 16-year-old brother because he wanted a turn playing video games has been allowed by the judge to attend his brother's funeral, although he will be shackled and accompanied by deputy sheriffs.
- Maryann Neabor is accused of killing her brother-in-law with an antifreeze-laced smoothie in 2004, and indeed she confessed to the crime, but she now says she did so only because her former attorney told her that the rest of her family would be arrested if she didn't confess. The jury will resume deliberations on the case today. Neabor could be looking at life in prison if she's found guilty.
- Both the Daily News and the Inquirer have an article about yesterday's funeral for Tykeem Daquan Law, the 14-year-old allegedly shot on his bicycle by an angry driver because he wasn't getting out of the way fast enough.
- The decommissioned aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy had been scheduled to be towed from Florida to its resting place in South Philadelphia, but the trip will now be delayed by an electrical malfunction which won't be repaired until Friday.
- A new Target is opening on City Avenue and Monument Road in Wynnefield, and the plan is to make it part of the revitalization of City Avenue. Michael Nutter already came down to celebrate the store's preview yesterday, but the store will have a "soft opening" today and an official grand opening on Sunday.
