The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.

- Some people are ashamed of their love for Harry Potter for some reason. For them, we present Pointless Waste of Time's do-it-yourself fake book jackets, with which you can cover up Potter 7 to trick the other people on the El. (Be aware that not all of them are entirely safe for work.) (Via Thrillist, via Jill)
- Are we using specially trained and outfitted squirrels to spy on the Iranians? The Iranians apparently think so. (Via Jill)
- Wizard has for you the 50 Greatest Deaths in Comics History. (Via)
- Summer Glau is indeed going to be playing the "good" Terminator in the upcoming Fox series The Sarah Connor Chronicles. And she might still get the chance to be vulnerable and emotional.
- This is a good idea: a group of moms are going to learn that video games are not all bad and violent, thanks to a little video game boot camp.
- Looks like we're still not quite done with E3 2007. Joystiq has a video round-up of Gamecock's E3 stuff, and the list of the 2007 Game Critics Awards Nominees for E3 are now out (via).
- This seems like an inevitable development when you think about it, but it's just been announced that DC will be putting out a World of Warcraft comic book under its Wildstorm label.
- Cliche is generally a negative term, but Slate has an interesting article in praise of the video game cliche. (Via)
Yet more zany internet fun after the jump...
- Many people are quite excited about upcoming rhythm video game Rock Band. If you're one of those people, or even if you're not, you might enjoy this Joystiq post, which includes pictures, a trailer, and a vaguely related humor video.
- Dude, now they have remote control cars that can drive up walls, with the power of air suction. Kids today have it so good...
- Ooh, a new Muppet Show could be on the way! Speaking as someone who grew up loving the original, this Phillyist is pretty excited. It's true, they tried bringing the show back before and it didn't really work out, but maybe it could this time! Even if they are talking about computer enhancing the puppets so they can walk around...
- New Line is going to do a film adaptation of Brian K. Vaughn's critically acclaimed comic Y: The Last Man, and has chosen D.J. Caruso to direct and Carl Ellsworth to write.
- We don't have high hopes for Robert Zemeckis' upcoming zillionth film version of A Christmas Carol, but it is kind of exciting that the movie might lead to an on-screen reunion of Back to the Future cast members Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox.
- Todd McFarlane is apparently working on an indie sequel to the original—and truly awful, we might add—Spawn film. Except it wouldn't really be a sequel, but more of a reboot, and in this one the main character will hardly be seen except as a shadow, and will never speak. Considering how awful the dialogue was in the first movie, that sounds like a good idea to us!
- Hmm. We were pretty interested in this Arthurian legend prequel movie The Last Legion when we first read about it. But now that we've seen the trailer... it actually looks pretty corny. Still, you never know; it could be good. (Via)
- The readers of the Guardian have chosen the 50 Greatest Comedies of All Time. We protest! Although a Monty Python film certainly belongs at number one, that film is clearly Holy Grail and not Life of Brian. We have other problems, as well, but a lot of these are great choices, so we'll just shut our yap now. (Via)
- Well, we'll be damned. It's official: Hilary Swank does have a cameo in Iron Man - probably as a SHIELD agent.
- And now, let's finish up with... yet another list! This one is the top 12 words and phrases created by The Simpsons - all perfectly cromulent. (Via)
