The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.

- Harry Potter rocks! No, really. That link is to a cool article on the Inquirer about the large and welcoming musical community inspired by the wildly popular series of fantasy books about the boy wizard. Most of its members are quite young and not professional musicians, but that doesn't stop them or their audiences from having a ton of fun. And that's awesome. (Via Sarah)
- Looks like Game|Life wasn't done with E3 after all; they've put up a bunch more posts wrapping up the conference, including a hands-on review of the much anticipated BioShock, yet another overall sum-up post on E3, a silly video of some poor guy playing a Wii dancing game at EA's press conference, a lengthy video of Gamecock's very odd funeral ceremonies for the previous version of E3, a nearly complete holiday release line-up from Nintendo, and finally, a look at an important and overlooked aspect of E3: the food (via).
- Oops - sounds like Lev Grossman's interesting history of the lolcats meme may not have been as accurate as we had hoped. Which is understandable; the history of internet memes is going to be murky by its very nature.
- Bwah hah hah! This story of how a group of Aussies managed to outwit the department of transportation automated ticketing system is pretty freaking awesome. Although of course, we do not at all condone anyone trying any similar trickery here in Philly. Because that would be wrong. (Via Jason)
- JMS says visual effects have come a long way since B5 wrapped way back in the bad old days of 1998, and the new B5 TV movie benefited from the advances in technology.
- Wow - this is cool, but also kind of disturbing. It's Shirley Bassey covering that Pink song about the party and getting it started and whatnot.
- We remember reading a similar list in the past, but here's another one of Gaming’s 10 Biggest Scandals of All-time. Just makes you thirsty for some hot coffee, doesn't it? (Via)
- Now that the DS has become so successful, Nintendo may retire the Game Boy product name. Which is kind of sad, but understandable. In less sad news, we could see WiiWare as early as this year. Sweet!
- It could be described as filk, but you know you want to watch this music video for the song "I Am Murloc" by a metal band called (we shit you not) Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain. We can't say it's really excellent, or that the music is original in any way, but it's certainly fun. And anyway, c'mon! Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain!
- Check out this how-to video describing the process for making a sweet Link statue out of LEGO bricks. We just might have to dig our old collection out of the parents' attic and try this out...
- It's another fun list! This time, the Top 10 Worst Web App Names. Yeah, Profilactic is pretty bad... (Via)
- It's definitely pissed this Phillyist off in the past that it wasn't easier to rearrange the items in the Windows taskbar, so it's pretty cool that there's a simple, lightweight software solution to the problem.
- The Movie Blog asks why women characters in film adaptations of comic books almost always seem to suck, then offers four possible answers. We think it could have something to do with the source medium. We love the comic book as much as anybody (well, okay, maybe more than most), but it's a medium that was created, for the most part, by and for men and boys, and so has traditionally lacked in complex female characters.
- There are now two official web apps online for creating a Simpsons character version of yourself, and you can find links to both over at this Cinematical post. Yay!
- We always thought the film Elizabeth - directed by Shekhar Kapur and starring Cate Blanchett - was pretty wildly overrated, but we're still rather fascinated to learn that it was always envisioned as part one in a trilogy, and that part two, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, is already done and will be in theaters October 12th. Part three "will focus on the Queen and her adviser (played by Geoffrey Rush) during the time leading up to the Spanish Armada" and will also star Clive Owen as Walter Raleigh and Samantha Morton as Mary, Queen of Scots. And now, despite ourselves, we actually kind of want to see these movies...
- Holy crud! IESB is claiming that a respected Paramount studio source told them that Shia LaBeouf has signed on to be in three more "Indy-related films!" We'll try to hold off being excited about this until we've actually seen Indy 4, but the news certainly is... interesting!

Umm... where's Indy's other hand?
I *hope* he's leaning on something behind his Dad. Because otherwise... eww.
