The best of the internet, chopped into tiny bits and grilled for your enjoyment.

- Movie Poop Shoot reveals to us that the worst live action comic book adaptation ever already happened back in 1979, so we have nothing to worry about from future adaptations. This worst of all possible adaptations took the form of an extremely short-lived TV show (only two episodes!) on NBC called Legends of the Superheroes, which was apparently an attempt to make a comedic, live action version of The Superfriends cartoon. We found Move Poop Shoot's summary of both episodes absolutely riveting, and almost unbelievable. (Via MIke)
- Want to make a picture or video look rotoscoped, animated, or just more like a comic book? Toonamation is here to save the day! Maybe it's because we like comic books, but this seems like a pretty cool idea to us. (Via Jill)
- And speaking of comic books, how about some Super Hero Food? It's not what you might think - it's actually an online museum of comic book and superhero-related food products. And the fellow who runs it is selling his entire collection on eBay, so if you're interested at all in the merchandise, you might want to run over and pick some up. (Via Slashfood, via Sarah)
- You know how we love the lolcats here at Phillyist, so we were fascinated by TIME's article about the trend, which actually filled us in on some history we weren't aware of. Definitely interesting to look at if you've been trying to figure out where those damn cats came from. (Via)
- Game|Life finished up its coverage of E3 with a couple of sum-up posts, one featuring the lengthy impressions of Wired editor Chris Baker, and the other featuring Chris Kohler's final thoughts (wherein he declines to give out the usual annual awards, as he is a bit grouchy and doesn't think very much about the conference deserves an award).
- Duchovny says he'll be receiving a finished script for X-Files 2, written by usual suspects Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz, this week. Carter will direct the film, and both Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are on board to star. We kind of wish Carter had given the script to somebody else to write, as his episodes tended to be a bit melodramatic and over-earnest, but maybe he'll bring in a script doctor later to fix it up...
- Good news for Farscape fans: the show is coming back! Well, sort of. Sci Fi has ordered 10 "webisodes" (gah! We hate that term so much...) to be produced by The Jim Henson Co. The rest of Sci Fi Channel's development slate can be found here. There are some other interesting shows listed, too, including some online Battlestar Galactica video shorts (which they're calling "mini-sodes," a name nearly as stupid as "webisodes") which will air in October, right before the two-hour movie; an animated comedy about an aging superhero team called The Awesomes; and a miniseries about an astronaut trapped on an alien world written by comic book author Steve Niles and starring one-time Punisher Thomas Jane.
- Interestingly enough, the upcoming Flash Gordon Sci Fi mini-series is going all the way back to the original comic strip by Alex Raymond for its inspiration.
- Indy 4 has now moved the production to the Big Island of Hawaii, where they'll spend three weeks shooting. Apparently the biggest action scenes will be filmed there. Also, 65-year-old Ford is doing many of his own stunts! Crazy old bastard.
- The rumor is that Pixar will be putting out Cars 2 after they finish Toy Story 3.
- There will officially be an Ace Ventura 3, but Jim Carrey is not involved; apparently the movie will be about his character's son. Blech.
- Exciting Batman news! A teaser trailer for The Dark Knight will be included in front of screenings of The Simpsons Movie when it comes out on July 27th. You can find new on-set pictures of the Joker here. And Aaron Eckhart has confirmed that both Harvey Dent and Two-Face will appear in the movie (and he'll play both, of course).
- Aw, Racer X has a girlfriend. Isn't that cute? Nayo Wallace has been cast as Minx in the live action Speed Racer movie.
- Want to see Cate Blanchett playing Bob Dylan talking to David Cross playing Allen Ginsberg? Of course you do. The clip is here. What the heck is this about? It's from a super-pretentious art film called I'm Not There where all kinds of famous actors end up playing Bob Dylan. We're betting the final project will be a complete train wreck. But actually, Blanchett makes a surprisingly convincing Dylan... (Via)
