A tall, icy glass of our favorite internet junk, just for you.

- This is a pretty neat find: a series of illustrations from a 1947 issue of Life Magazine wherein some cartoonists were asked to draw their most famous characters, once normally, and then again with a blindfold on. The results are fascinating. (Via)
- To celebrate the impending release of The Simpsons Movie, Shiny Shiny dug up a link to Great Gadgets of the Simpsons, which features weird fantasy inventions that have appeared on the show, then made their own list of the best real gadgets with a Simpsons theme.
- We love shopping online, but it does have one drawback: it makes browsing difficult. Which is why we're fascinated by Download Squad's run-down of five different ways to browse Amazon.com.
- Think you're metal, huh? Can you play Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" using no instruments but your own hands?! Well, this guy can. (Via)
- Cracked has an interesting (and funny, of course) list of the historical inaccuracies of various Hollywood films - and why the films are actually better for having those inaccuracies. (Via)
- We're totally loving Joss Whedon's run on Marvel Comics' Runaways, and we're excited to learn that you can read it for free online - even if the interface is apparently irritating.
- Nerve knows the best people to ask for sex advice: random folks standing in line for the iPhone! Beware of some NSFW words. (Via Jessica)
- Look out! It's yet another video game-themed wedding cake! We've seen better, but this one's fun, too. (Via)
- Bryan Singer will film Superman: Man of Steel after he finishes with Valkyrie and The Mayor of Castro Street. And yes, Kevin Spacey will return as Luthor.
- Alex Proyas is going to direct Dracula Year Zero, which will be sort of a prequel about Vlad the Impaler when he was still alive and kicking Turks out of Romania. We're not so sure about the story concept, but with Proyas at the helm, it should at least be an interesting movie.
- E3 continues! Game|Life liveblogged Nintendo's whole press conference, as did Engadget and Joystiq. The most interesting announcements: that official Wii Zapper gun is finally on the way, there are release dates for a number of anticipated games (Smash Bros.: 12/3/07, Super Mario Galaxy: 11/12/07, Mario Kart Wii: Q1 2008), new Mii channels are on the way, Guitar Hero III and Mario Kart will be online, and there'll be a game called Wii Fit which uses a floor-stepping controller.
- Game|Life also gives us more about how Guitar Hero III totally rocks.
- Sounds like Fox wants to fasttrack the Wolverine spin-off movie and get it released by summer of next year. Sounds good to us - as long as they can make a decent movie in that amount of time.
- Alec Baldwin directed, starred in, and produced a remake of The Devil and Daniel Webster that actually finished filming way back in 2001, but is only just going to be released this Friday - and then only in six seemingly random US cities (none are nearby). The film has already been called "one of the greatest train wrecks of all time," and Alec Baldwin has had his name replaced with the dreaded moniker of Alan Smithee under the director and producer credits, and is only credited under his own name as an actor because he couldn't get that one changed; he hates what happened to the movie and doesn't want anyone to go see it. Apparently he had originally made a more serious film, and it was then recut as pure comedy.
- More Star Trek XI casting news (although this is pretty questionable and should be taken with a large grain of salt): Zachary Quinto, who plays the villain Sylar on Heroes, is supposedly in talks to play Spock.
- The hell? Paramount wants to do a full-on musical remake of Footloose. Kenny Ortega might direct and choreograph, with Zac Efron playing Kevin Bacon's character.
