The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.

- We're fascinated by the success of the book What Will Happen in Harry Potter 7, a product which, by its very nature, will cease to have any purpose or appeal by the end of next week. (Via Jill)
- And speaking of Harry Potter... Penny Arcade has a shameful secret they don't want you to know about.
- Sci Fi Channel wants to get Sam Jones - the guy who played Flash Gordon in the 1980 movie - to do a cameo in their upcoming Flash Gordon TV series. It's kind of a cool idea, but... did anybody actually like that movie? And does anybody even remember what Sam Jones looks like?
- The latest in the next gen console war: Microsoft says they're developing smaller, cheaper chips for the Xbox 360 that will eliminate the console's overheating problem and cut manufacturing costs. Meanwhile, turns out that new 80GB model of the PS3 that just got announced will be missing the piece of hardware that handled backwards compatibility. They've replaced it with a software solution, but we're betting this means backwards compatibility will now be even wonkier. In brighter news for PS3 fans, looks like the console will be getting a movie download service.
- This summer at the Seattle Mariners' stadium, Nintendo is testing out a new service where, for a small fee, you'll be able to download a program to your DS Lite and use it to "order food, watch a live TV feed of the game, play trivia games, and access stats." If it's popular, it'll get rolled out to other stadiums. Neat!
- The rumor that Superman: Man of Steel, Bryan Singer's sequel to Superman Returns, was going to be delayed or not made at all was apparently false.
- In case you're curious, the full schedule of events for this year's ComicCon can be found here. Sounds like some pretty exciting stuff...
- According to Mark Wahlberg, it is indeed true that Darren Aronofsky will be directing him as boxer "Irish" Micky Ward in a biopic about the fighter entitled, appropriately enough, The Fighter. The film will also star Matt Damon as Ward's brother and trainer.
- The latest rumored casting for Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen is Billy Crudup. Of course, until there's an official announcement (and maybe not even then!) there's no knowing who will actually be wearing the blue make-up for the part. But at least Crudup would be better than Keanu. Oh, and while we're talking casting rumors, word is that Anthony Michael Hall will play Edward Nygma in Dark Knight. Nygma, of course, eventually becomes the Riddler, but it's possible that transformation won't come to pass until a future film.
- Cinematical has found what purports to be a report from a spy on the set of Cloverfield - beware of possible spoilers! Also, the trailer for the film has finally made it online officially. Here's our prediction for what Cloverfield really is: a film adaptation of the video game Rampage!
- While you're watching trailers, you might as well check out one for Leonardo DiCaprio's environmental documentary The 11th Hour on the film's MySpace page. (Via)
- Phil Donahue has made a documentary about the Iraq War called Body of War, which features a soundtrack of new music by Eddie Vedder, and criticizes Democratic leaders like Hillary Clinton for supporting the war. There's no national release planned yet, but Donahue will apparently be taking the doc to various festivals, so we'll see what happens.
- The Movie Blog has found a list of the Easter Eggs in Ratatouille. Neat! We can't decide if we should read the whole thing before seeing the movie, or watch the movie and then check to see what we might have missed...
- Supposedly Danny Boyle won't be doing Porno, the sequel to Trainspotting, anytime soon because he wants the actors to age more first.
- Brett Ratner is supposedly going to put Paris Hilton in one of his upcoming films - possibly his recently announced biopic of Hugh Hefner. Which would at least be vaguely appropriate...
- Hey. Psst. Wii-less wonders. We hear that Wendy's still has 250 Wiis to give away. You might want to see if you can get one. We're just saying is all.
