The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.

- Fact: a news article that includes the real, serious quote "We are fed up with these drunk rats" is a good news article. (Via Sarah)
- Remember when we posted way back about the fact that 7-Eleven was going to turn some of its stores into honest to God Kwik-E-Marts as part of a Simpsons Movie promotion? Well, it's really happened. Our fellow -Isters in LA and DC have seen them and taken photos. Drawn also has a link to a Flickr set of photos. Let us know if you see a Kwik-E-Mart around here, and by all means, snap some photos if you do!
- Not long after the exciting news about the giant, man-sized penguins of the ancient past (or "manguins" as we like to call them) comes news that a 150-pound-or-more bird used to fly the skies over South American some six million years ago. It was only the biggest bird ever. Awesome.

- We've said it before and we'll say it again: God bless the Japanese! When they make a statue to commemorate a man's life and the revitalization of a city, it isn't a boring representation of some guy: it's an 18-foot tall shiny blue robot named Gigantor! Rocking!
- Rumors are coming out now about the crew behind J. J. Abrams' mysterious monster movie, Cloverfield. Bryan Burk is supposedly producing, Drew Goddard is writing, and Matt Reeves is directing.

This Phillyist has managed to avoid seeing any of these films, so we can't offer much an opinion on the list. But just based on the ads we're pretty sure Epic Movie would have made our list, too.
