  • Heh. This sounds like a clever idea for a comedy: The $40,000 Man, about a legendary astronaut and American hero who gets horribly injured in a car accident and gets rebuilt as a bionic man - but on a budget of only $40,000. So, he's not really all that bionic.
  • The AP got Brad Bird to admit that he'd make Incredibles 2 if he could come up with the right story.
  • It's looking more and more likely that Tyrese Gibson will play Luke Cage in a film about the superhero directed by John Singleton. Nice!
  • It's just been announced that Marc Forster of Stranger Than Fiction and Finding Neverland will direct the next Bond movie. Meanwhile, Michael Apted, who once directed a Bond film, has been announced as the director of the third Narnia film. Interesting choices!
  • There's going to be a new Speed Racer cartoon on Nicktoons next year, to capitalize on the assumed popularity of the live-action movie that should be coming out around the same time. Updates to the old story will include changing the Mach 5 to the Mach 6, and changing Chim-Chim from a chimpanzee to a robot (?!). The guy who did Speed's voice in the dubbed American version of the original show, Peter Fernandez, will be back to play Speed's brother Spritle. This will be the first animated series from Lionsgate.
  • Looking forward to Sunshine as much as we are? Then you might be interested to see this Sci Fi Wire exclusive video wherein production designer Mark Tildesley and star Chris Evans talk about the film.
  • The winner of the Nintendo Short Cuts film contest has been announced, and it's Good vs. Wiivil by Jack Paccione, Jr. You can check the movie out for yourself here.
  • Supposedly a handful of vinyl records and cassettes from the '80s had video games hidden inside them. Record the correct part of the record to a cassette, or just get the cassette version, pop it into your Sinclair ZX Spectrum, and you had a game! A very tiny, crappy game, but a game nonetheless.
  • JoBlo has a report about the filming of Dark Knight from a spy on the set. We're not reading it for fear of spoilers, but you go ahead if you want to. (Via)
  • Enjoy a trailer for He Was a Quiet Man, starring Christian Slater as an office worker who finds love and corporate success after stopping a workplace shooting spree. Also starring are William H. Macy and Elisha Cuthbert. (Via)
  • So, what else is left to blog about? How's this: play every Legend of Zelda game ever and blog your experiences! That's the concept behind Blogging Zelda. Enjoy! (Via)
  • Joystiq found a picture of Rock Band's guitar controller. Click!
  • Instead of playing Pong versus the computer, why not have the computer play Pong, versus the ball itself? Interesting.
  • Some more details are coming out about the LEGO Batman video game.
