The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you.

- Heh heh. Hearing somebody actually try to pitch some classic video games of the past makes you realize how insane the premises of some of them really are. (Via)
- Yay! 1UP has more terrible video game box art for us (via)! Meanwhile, Yahoo has the Top 10 Cheesiest Classic Game Commercials (via).
- You'd be surprised and amused by what odd combinations of keywords lead people to Monkeys in the News. Which is why you should click through and read the list!
- We know you have a lot of blogs to read already, but check out this new one: The Pop Culture Supreme Court. The concept is simple: nine pop culture bloggers take on the tough issues one case at a time. Their first verdict: by a vote of 6 to 3, they have "decided that there should be no Moratorium on remakes in Hollywood, despite their flaws." You can read their lengthy opinions on the site. (FYI, we found our way to the site via Apropos of Something; Jess is one of the Pop Culture Justices.)
- Robert Rodriguez, besides being a beloved filmmaker, is apparently also a bit of a chef on the side. You can find some of his 10-Minute Cooking School videos on YouTube, including this one, which teaches you how to make Sin City Breakfast Tacos. (Via Sarah, via Slashfood)
- Scott Adams can even talk about something as boring as soap and still be totally hilarious.
- One of our favorite contemporary bands, Spoon, has a new album coming out on July 10th with the unfortunate title of Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. It's only 10 tracks and 37 minutes long, but XPN calls it "by far Spoon's best album," which is really saying something! Best of all, they've got a link to a free MP3 of a track from the album, which we're copying right here. Enjoy!
- Some fun casting news: Rachel Weisz has just signed on to play the mother of the dead girl in Peter Jackson's film adaptation of The Lovely Bones. And William Hurt is going to play Gen. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross in The Incredible Hulk. Ross is the man dedicated to finding the Hulk, who also happens to be the father of the Hulk's girlfriend, Betty Ross.
- Toys "R" Us have put together a list of the 24 best toys of summer. Apparently these are the toys that will be best at keeping kids engaged. And we have to admit they've made some pretty engaging choices, what with the Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine and the new Harry Potter book and the Transformers action figures... (Via)
- With 3D Mailbox, you can turn your emails into people or airplanes and interact with them in a 3D world! Which sounds kind of completely unnecessary, but hey, if you're bored... (Via)

- Paul Bettany will play a claymation artist whose characters begin acting out nightmares that become real in an upcoming psychological thriller called Born, produced by, among other people, Guillermo del Toro and Clive Barker. - Supergirl - or rather, Kara, Clark's cousin - will appear in the seventh season premiere of Smallville, according to an official announcement from the CW. The role hasn't been cast yet.
- The latest stuff on Indy 4: the official working title is apparently Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods. Also, you can find what claim to be the first set pictures from the movie right over here (via).
- Some more info on that film adaptation of Blindness: the book was adapted by Canadian auteur Don McKellar, and besides Mark Ruffalo and Julianne Moore, the film will also star Gael Garcia Bernal and Danny Glover.
- Wow - Renny Harlin and Samuel L. Jackson are apparently working on a sequel to the fun but forgettable killer-with-amnesia flick The Long Kiss Goodnight. Crazy!
- The White Stripes will be releasing their upcoming album Icky Thump on two USB drives, made up to look like cartoon versions of Jack and Meg. They'll cost $57.50 separately, and $99 if you buy them together. They'll be 3,333 of each produced, and they'll contain 512MB of space and thirteen tracks in the Apple Lossless format.
- There are already many strange creatures that serve as dancing, noisemaking speakers for your iPod. But there had not been any official Transformers iPod speakers - until now!
- Yay! The bunnies do Die Hard! You know you wanna watch. (Via)
