Is That a Pith Helmet?

PithHelmet.jpg

Phillyist caught this urban adventurer out for a stroll on Broad Street this morning and couldn't pass up the opportunity to surreptitiously snap a grainy camera phone pic. The photo circulated a little amongst some Phillyist staffers, and everybody who saw it had something to say. It was too good, we decided, to caption ourselves. So we're leaving it up to you, readers. Leave a comment on this post with your clever caption, and you could win a very cool, very trendy, Phillyist t-shirt. (Everyone is wearing them!) Comments will be disabled on this post on Sunday night, so don't delay! Post your funny, your clever, or your mildly inappropriate comments now – there's no limit on how many times you can enter. (Make sure you use a real email address when you comment so that we can contact you. Email addresses will not be made public.)

UPDATE: This contest is now closed. Check back this week for the winner, and stay tuned for future caption contests!

The Ritz must showing Zulu again.

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work I go.

Seeing no elephants at the Philadelphia zoo and sensing the public danger of escaped pachyderms, Roger immediately grabbed his pith helmet and elephant pistol and began patrolling the streets of Center City.

The Urban Pith Helment

Did I win?

I think I saw this guy chasing a gazelle down 15th Street! Umm....maybe it was a UArts coed with long legs, but either way I don't think the streets are safe with him on the loose....those boots were definitely crafted for brisk pursuit! It would take an experienced wildlife photographer to truly freeze the urban adventurer in action, but I will keep my long lens at the ready nonetheless...

Taking a break from the three day Anglo-Zulu war reenactment in Rittenhouse Square, Harold Finklebottom of Upper Darby looks for a place to relax with a little Gin and Quinine in Center City.
