What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

kathy06-04-07.jpgCreature Comforts (Mon, 8PM-8:30PM, CBS) - A new US version of the popular UK show created by Wallace & Gromit's Nick Park. It involves clay, stop-motion animated animals sharing their opinions on life. If it's anything like the original, the dialogue will consist of actual interviews with real people that end up being quite amusing when coming out of the mouths of gorillas and panthers.

Unwrapped (Mon, 9PM-9:30PM, Food Network) - Just in time for summer, this week's episode takes a close look at ice cream, and includes a visit to the Dairy Queen test kitchens, as well as a demonstration of creating custom flavors at an online ice cream store. (For more food fun, look for the episode about pizza on Saturday night at the same time, and then the episode Secret Life Of... afterwards about beer.)

The Universe (Tue, 9PM-10PM, History) - We're thinking the people at the History Channel wanted to one-up the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth series, and so created this series, which purports to tell us the history of the entire universe. This particular episode covers Mars - in particular, whether life could have developed there, and what it might have been like.

Kathy Griffin: Everybody Can Suck It (Tue, 9PM-10PM, Bravo) - A brand new stand-up special from everybody's favorite D-List celebrity. We're sure she'll have plenty of great gossip about her encounters with A-List celebrities.

Destination Truth (Wed, 10PM-11PM, Sci-Fi) - A debut of a sort of real life X-Files, where they go around the world investigating unexplained events. In this first episode, they look into sightings of dinosaurs and a mermaid-like creature in Papua New Guinea.

Fantastic Four (Sat, 9:30PM-10PM, Cartoon Network) - Ooh, a Fantastic Four cartoon! And just in time for the next movie. This episode is about Reed and Ben setting out to try to rescue Susan and Johnny from their imprisonment in the city of Atlantis at the hands of Namor.
