Holy crap, it's June! June 1, to be exact. And how convenient that the first day of June happens to also be the first Friday in June. If you can brave tonight's expected showers, here are three spots we recommend:
It's going to be hot enough already, so a few more degrees won't kill you. That's why you should check out the glassblowing demonstrations going on all night at Hot Soup Glass Studio. Besides, it won't be raining in there. And glassblowing is awesome. Hot Soup Glass Studio is located at 26 South Strawberry Street, between Market and Chestnut, and between Second and Third.
The Clay Studio is actually having two openings simultaneously tonight: Rob Raphael's Uomo and Meredith Brickell's Colors of Shade. And if those don't interest you, you can always hang out in the awesomely mosaiced stairwell! The Clay Studio is located at 139 North Second Street, near Elfreth's Alley.
We're all about supporting young, promising artists, and so is F.U.E.L. Collection, so this month's exhibition of work from Drexel photography students appeals to us on principle. Plus, we like going to F.U.E.L. because it's kind of like pretending to be in the Real World House. F.U.E.L. Collection is located at 249 Arch Street, at the corner of 3rd and Arch.
