
- One of the suspects in the planned attack on Fort Dix applied to be a Philadelphia police officer in April, but luckily he didn't get very far in the procedure, as he was ineligible for various reasons.

- Were Milton Street's civil rights violated by the Feds?! That's what his lawyer's saying. But as far as we can tell, all they did was make extra copies of documents, and have already promised to destroy them and stop doing it, so... who cares?
- Main Line socialite Susan Tabas Tepper, who, you may remember, was convicted of attacking a nanny with a bag of carrots less than three months ago, has been accused of assaulting another nanny, this time scratching her and shoving her to the ground instead of whipping out the vegetables.
- Starting next Wednesday and continuing for five months (until November 1st), construction work will be going on on parts of the Schuylkill Expressway and Vine Street Expressway, meaning lane closures "between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and from 9 p.m. Fridays to 8 a.m. on Saturdays." So good luck to all the poor bastards driving in Philly at those times. And good luck to those using public transportation, too; despite Governor Rendell's unprecedented visit today to the SEPTA Board of Directors, the board is still "expected to approve an 11 percent fare hike for July, then consider an additional 20 percent boost and 20 percent service cuts for September."
- Senator Barack Obama's fundraising trip to Philly on Tuesday was pretty successful, and included a crowd-pleasing performance at the Electric Factory. But did he do an encore, and smash a guitar?
