Foodsday Tuesday: Eatin' Good

8days2007.jpgPhillyist loves Restaurant Week. Like, a lot. (Seriously, that was only the first three links that came up when searching for "Restaurant Week" in the Phillyist archives.) Unfortunately, Restaurant Week only happens twice a year. And it's not actually a full week when it does happen.

So to help us fill the vacancy in our lives, the South Street Headhouse District will present 8 Days of Eats, eight full nights of prix fixe meals at a number of restaurants—the flyer says 100, but we only counted 31—in the District. Meals are either $15 or $30 for an average of three courses. One (alcoholic) drink is included with some, but not all, of the meals.

And if that wasn't awesome enough, 8 Days of Eats kicks off tonight inside the headhouse with menu sampling, refreshments, and live entertainment from the cast of the upcoming production of Hair at the Prince Music Theater. Hair, in case you'd forgotten, is the musical that's performed, in great part, in the buff. We can't think of anything more appetizing than that.
