I live just outside of National Park and went to Red Bank Battlefield many times when I was a kid. Part of the lore of the place is finding weird crap on the beach. It's a small park with no great views of the Philly skyline, kind of smells like swamp and the flies are aweful during the summer, and generally just a big picnic grounds. But it's a great place to go to retreat and get some space and really quite easy to get to. Exit 22 off of I-295S, turn left at the light and drive straight through one more and you're there.
