A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets.

- The Morning News has an important public service announcement for you regarding a terrible infestation you could already be experiencing without realizing it: hipsters! (Via)
- LOL Trek. It's "The Trouble with Tribbles" summarized in a series of screen grabs from the show captioned in lolcat fashion. Hi-larious. Many of these images are ripe for being turned into personal icons. WE IN UR STATION CONSUMIN' YOUR QUADROTRITICALE. (Via)
- Hey, remember the baby from the cover of Nirvana's classic album, Nevermind? That baby is a teenager now. You may begin freaking out. (Via Editor Jill)
- It's a good day for web comics.
- Aw. Pac-Man can't type. That's sad. And funny! (Via)
- Cinematical tells us that in 1980, "after the CIA and two makeup artists came up with a non-existent movie (it seemed so real that it had the trades fooled), an operative named Tony Mendez traveled to Iran under the guise of the production in order to sneak out six American hostages. And yes, it worked." Wow, what a great story! Wouldn't it make a great movie? And wouldn't it be great if Warner Bros. bought the rights and asked George Clooney and Grant Heslov (the geniuses behind Good Night, and Good Luck) to write the screenplay? Well, guess what just happened?
- Liv Tyler just got cast as the love interest in the upcoming Hulk movie. Eh. Okay. She's not a great actor or anything, but that's what we have Ed Norton for.
- It's the trailer for Ocean's 40! No, it's not a real movie. But it's still brilliant. (Via)
- Apparently Die Hard 4 may have been cut in order to get a PG13 rating, instead of an R. Also, Bruce Willis is surprisingly candid about the fact that he's not too happy about that, and about the fact that he didn't really like any of the Die Hard movies except the first one.
- Supposedly over 75% of the midnight screenings of Spider-Man 3 sold out. Holy crud.
- Apparently it's a bit of a controversy among geeks that we will get to see Optimus Prime's mouth in the upcoming Transformers movie (click for a pic). Um... who cares? We're way more weirded out by the fact that we're going to see Bart's wang in the upcoming Simpsons movie.
- Check out this kick-ass poster for The Golden Compass. We're so looking forward to that movie.
- Check out this great trailer for the upcoming Robot Chicken Star Wars event. We can't wait. (Via)
- Sci-Fi Wire has a preview of Entertainment Weekly's list of the top 25 science fiction movies or TV shows of the past 25 years, which will appear in the issue to be released on May 7. It's kind of an annoying preview, though, as it gives us the top ten, but doesn't specify the order, beyond revealing that The Matrix is number one and Sci Fi's own Battlestar Galactica is close behind it. They're all good picks. Putting The Matrix at number one seems like a wrongheaded move when the list also includes Blade Runner and Aliens, but still.
- Um, hey, politicians? KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF OUR INTERNET. You know why? Because we don't trust you to leave it open and free when you have hearings with ridiculous, sensationalist titles like "The Internet: A Portal to Violent Islamist Extremism."
- Stop-motion animated fighting is fun! (Via)
- Joystiq has some great photos of a very cool Legend of Zelda DS Lite mod. Check 'em out.
- PS4 on the way in less than 18 months? According to a "Sony insider," yes. That seems to us like it would be an incredibly stupid and greedy move by Sony... so it could be true! (Via)
