Here's a real doozy. Not only is it inarguably IN Philly, the error is actually carved into granite. There's a nice review of the Negro Leagues Memorial at Belmont and Parkside on ArtBlog, but look a little closer at the attached photo and its "compellation of names"...



It clearly states they apologize for any errors. Don't they get credit for carving a discalimer in granite as well?
The extreme nitpicker in me wants to point out, also: Shouldn't it be "omissions or errors"? Don't they both need to be plural, in order to be in parallel structure?
But, as Gail pointed out, they're not taking responsibility for it anway.
I think it might be ok though. A compellation is an act of addressing names. I'm not sure about the plural structure though.
I don't know, that would be an extremely rare (and possibly archaic) usage if so, and the formulation "...of players gathered from available records" suggests they were really looking for "compilation."
