The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.

  • First of all, and thankfully, it turns out that whole story about the Kansas Board of Education banning Pokemon was fake. The scary thing is that, even though it did seem pretty ridiculous, it also seemed possible.
  • Harvey Weinstein is incredibly disappointed and is thinking of rereleasing Grindhouse this summer as two separate movies. Crap! That means we need to get to the theaters very soon to see it the way it was intended!
  • David Goyer hinted in a recent interview that although Harvey Dent is in Dark Knight, Two-Face might not be. Hmm... well, we're disappointed we might not get to see another famous member of Batman's rogue's gallery, but happy about what this seems to suggest - that they're going to focus on the Joker this time, and not try to handle too many characters at once.
  • It's semi-official: "Guitar Hero 3 for the Playstation 2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii are currently scheduled for release in the United States in Fall of 2007." Woo hoo!!!
  • Some local-themed humor from Married to the Sea today.
  • XPN has another POPPED!-related music download for us this morning, lord bless them.
  • David Goyer is busy these days! Sci-Fi Wire has a few more details about his update of Cronenberg's Scanners, which we're getting pretty excited about.
  • Speaking of Scanners, check out yesterday's Penny Arcade. Tee hee!
  • Turns out the Captain Marvel movie will be based mostly on modern comics about the character, and will be set during the modern era, because, as the screenwriter says, "old-time comic books were awkwardly written, crudely drawn, and bewilderingly inconsistent with their rules." Ouch! Way to alienate most of your audience there, dude! Although... mostly fair points...
  • Tarantino mentioned in a recent interview some ideas about a movie called Double V Vega that he was going to make. It would have been about Madsen's character in Reservoir Dogs and Travolta's character in Pulp Fiction, who were both named Vega, and were meant to be brothers. But apparently now the movie will most likely not happen. Sigh.
  • They're going to start shooting that remake of The Birds at the end of this year. What a waste of time. They can only create a travesty.
