Foodsday Tuesday: Festival Eats

inside-wendys.jpgWith two big-deal festivals—POPPED! and the Philadelphia Film Festival—in Philly right now, Phillyist staffers have been running around like so many proverbial headless chickens: madly moving from place-to-place so fast they seem out of control. Also, headless chickens, from what we hear, have a little bit of trouble eating. (Of course, for them, it's physiological: for us, it's a matter of scheduling.)

Between the God-imposed Passover diet and back-to-back screenings, this Phillyist has found it a little difficult to get a decent meal in edgewise these last few days. The Wendy's down the block from the Prince is probably doing great Festival business, because they're open later than the other fast food places on the block: Phillyist has visited more times than we'd like to count. The CVS in between the Prince and Wendy's is also convenient for a quick snack. (Sure, the Prince is selling concessions, but CVS is cheaper...) Out by Johnny Brenda's (which has a great menu in its own right), where POPPED! kicked off last night, there's a McDonald's and a KFC/Long John Silver's hybrid. There are several decent pizza joints in Old City near the Ritz Theatres, where we've also caught our share of films.

But what we want to know, readers, is where you run into to get a quick bite between films. Do you grab a slice? Fries? Subsist on movie theatre popcorn? Bring snacks with you? Load up on Dexatrim to suppress your appetite throughout the marathon screenings, and then go home and eat a whole pie? With all there is to do in Philly right now, how are you keeping yourselves [reasonably] well-nourished?

Leave us a comment and let us know where to find between-event eats! (Please? We're starving!)
