Tonight at the Khyber

image.jpgIf you’ve listened to WMMR in the last few months, there’s a good chance you’ve heard Alright, Junior. If you haven’t, then you should fix that right now.

The band is made up of members of former Philly-based Alternative bands The Rebel Saints, Juliet, and Pennant Race. Having formed in Spring 2006, Alright, Junior is a relatively new band, but in the short amount of time they’ve been playing together, the band has already garnered tons of attention. Last August, they signed to Slugfest Records, and this past February, they released their first CD, Eudaemonic.

Alright, Junior has been called "reminiscient of The Foo Fighters and Smashing Pumpkins," and while these comparisons are valid, they're not enough. If you listen to Eudaemonic, you'll hear a really good, really fresh rock album, so check it out. Or, head over to the Khyber tonight to watch hear them in person.
