Look Who's Talking Now (Amongst Philly Bloggers)

This is going to be a short update for the weekly blog roundup. Why? It's because everyone and their mother is at South by Southwest, drunker than Ted Kennedy on nickel night. Oh and most bloggers are writing about who they met and how drunk they got, not about the music (isn't the music the POINT of going in the first place?) Jim McGuinn and XPN are doing a good job though with their web coverage and live broadcasts, but that's about it.

Since Phillyist isn't going to pander to those in the warmer climes, here's a short roundup of some personal bloggers from the Philly area who stuck around for the sleet.

Memo to the ladies (and guys so bold to bring it up to their lady-friends): March 14th was SAAB day. That's Steak and a Blowjob for y'all not in the know. Big thanks to Phillyist contributor Jessica Gold Haralson for reminding us on her personal blog, although she was a little sparse on the details. I suppose she's an upstanding girl and doesn't pander to the more voyeuristic readers, though. Good for you, Jessica.

Johnny Goodtimes loves Barristers, making it two posts in a row about the joint. Apparently, John Edwards likes the place as well, so it can't be all that bad. Plus it's

Badminton Stamps has a great post about the 'makin' it rain' phenomenon. If Phillyist had enough money to follow the trend, trust that it'd be raining more than icy sleet down on Delaware Ave.

So this is just a bit older than a week, but Philly Skyline has a long photo set up with views from the top of the new Comcast building. Plus the 'neighborhood fire' in one of the pics is a block from Phillyist's apartment. Sweet!

Phawker is still bitter about the CP Philly bracket. It's okay, we didn't get in either, 'Haus. Nick Norlen (of running numbers fame) does have a great idea though. Brackets galore!
