The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you.

- The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (and the lesser known National Association of Recording Merchandisers) have put together a list of the 200 definitive albums that everyone must own - so we assume they want you to go out and buy the ones you don't have right now, please! Amazon is making the process easier by listing them all on their website with handy buying links. Most of these are the usual suspects, although some surprising ones show up here and there. - What do you call the sequel to 28 Days Later? 28 Weeks Later, of course! Here's a look at some rough footage from the trailer; you'll have to go see The Hills Have Eyes 2 in the theaters (opening March 23) to catch the full trailer, apparently. Or you could just wait a few days for it to show up on the internet, which sounds a lot more palatable to us. Anyway, there's not much to see here, but we like the music. (Via)
- Peter O'Toole will be providing the voice of food critic Anton Ego in Brad Bird's much-anticipated upcoming animated film, Ratatouille.
- Two bits of bad news: Johnny Depp's 7-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose, was admitted into a London hospital earlier this month with an undisclosed illness, and is in serious condition. Depp is taking time off to care for her, and as a result, the production of his latest film, Sweeney Todd, may have to be halted indefinitely.
- Wow, this sounds fantastic: Midnight Meat Train, an upcoming film based on a Clive Barker story, directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus), and starring the awesome giant named Vinnie Jones, as well as Brooke Shields, Bradley Cooper (Alias), and Leslie Bib (Wristcutters). We're sold right there, but the story sounds good, too: Vinnie plays a serial killer stalking the subways, and Cooper plays a struggling photographer who thinks he can hit it big if he can get a shot of "the subway butcher" and thus help capture him.
- Michael Eisner is launching a virtual studio called Vuguru, which will focus primarily on creating original programming online for distribution on portable media devices (read: your iPod). Vuguru's first project is a mystery called Prom Queen which will consist of 80 episodes of 90 seconds each. Apparently it's "love, gossip, and betrayal" during the last two weeks of high school. Okay, that project doesn't sound that great, but as a concept, Vuguru is very interesting.
- Wong Kar Wai is going to make a movie (in Chinese) about lesbian love at a high school. It will probably be lengthy, slow, and tragic. And totally hot.
More after the jump...
- Another movie we're looking forward to is Left for Dead, described as an "amped up spaghetti western / horror fever dream. El Topo meets NC-17 horror madness." Um, awesome. You can find some stills from the movie here, one of which is captioned "The undead gunslinger." We are so totally sold. (Via)
- People, we have for you THE TEN MOST IMPORTANT VIDEO GAMES OF ALL TIME. Can you stand it?! These were picked out by some game designers, experts, and a blogger from Joystiq. Most seem like understandable choices, although one or two we've never even heard of.
- Looks like a lot of upgrades are in the offing for the Wii: developers for the system are getting online multiplayer technology from GameSpy, players should now finally be able to get their hands on that remote recharge station from Nyko (assuming it's actually in stock somewhere), and soon the Wii itself may be able to talk to you (via a text-to-speech module), and be able to predict your movements (via upgraded motion sensing). Oh, and while we're on the Wii, here it is in LEGO form, complete with remote and Wii Tennis diorama inside! (Via)
- A silent sound that makes you want to stop playing video games?! That's kind of horrifying...
- GameSpot has ten things Sony could do to make the PS3 worth buying. For us, the number one thing would be for Sony to stop sucking so much all the time.
- The Movie Blog doesn't like it for some reason, but we think this "action figure" version of The Meat from Rocky is totally brilliant, and we'd be proud to have one in our home.
- Making of Grindhouse featurette online! Go, go, go! (Via)

Left For Dead is the follow-up to Mean Guns? That's so awesome! I love Mean Guns!
Ever seen it, Jim?
Never heard of it, although now I'm definitely intrigued.
