Aqualung at World Cafe Live

With the upcoming release of Memory Man on March 13th, Aqualung is touring the Eastern U.S., stopping at the World Cafe Live on March 10th at 7:30pm.

You might think that Aqualung is a band of some sort but it's really just one Englishman - Matt Hales - making beautiful music. Hales calls his music, "truthful, articulate, candid, poetic, sometimes beautiful and occasionally a bit strange." Just what we like. He writes, performs, sings and produces music with the aid of his wife, Kim and brother, Ben. His first huge success was his album, Strange and Beautiful, which garnered a Top 10 single and Gold status.

The press has been raving about his new album, Memory Man. People Magazine says it has "a melodic grandeur that would make even Chris Martin jealous" and Spin Magazine says that "his way with a tune has taken him further than many of his B-list Brit pop peers." You can check out his new single, "Pressure Suit" on his MySpace page or watch him live on the David Letterman Show on March 14th. We'd prefer to watch him live at the World Cafe Live. Join us Saturday night for this strange but beautiful performance of Matt Hale's music.
