Whiz of the Web: Tuesday Torpedoes
The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.

- Some cool pics from the set of Frank Darabont's latest Stephen King adaptation, The Mist. Oh, there's also a four-part written report there from an AICN visit to the set, if you like to read words as well as look at pictures. (Via)
- Okay, here's reason number 1,245 why we hate Sony: they have the worst marketing department of all time. Their commercials are stupid, pointless, and pretentious. Case in point: WTF does this have to do with the PS3?! (Via)
- You know you're never getting to the end of that ridiculously difficult and lengthy video game that's sitting on your shelf gathering dust, but you're dying to know just what exactly happens at the end. Enter Games Radar, with their list of the endings for 20 big recent games. We're not looking at any of them, because we're totally going to beat Twilight Princess one of these days, we swear. (Via)
- An official LEGO MMOG is on its way! Sweet.
- AICN got an early review of a preview screening of the latest Harry Potter movie. There are spoilers, but seriously, if you haven't read the book yet and don't already know everything that's going to happen... what's wrong with you?? (Via)
- TMNT isn't even out yet, and they're already talking a possible sequel with Shredder. Dude.
- This list just makes us sad: Seven Films We'll Never Get to Watch. We'd kill to see Orson Welles' Don Quixote, or Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote with Johnny Depp, or a Billy Wilder Marx Brothers movie, or a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit? But killing probably wouldn't help. Sigh.
- Sweet! Lion's Gate is releasing a DVD set of five of Hitchcock's earlier, lesser known films.
More after the jump...
- The April issue of Premiere magazine will be its last, although happily its online presence will remain.
- A new study says that R-rated films make white teens want to smoke. Uh... what?
- Fantastic: this video answers the question, what if Jack Bauer were an agent for a 24-hour pizza delivery company? (Via)
- We want to keep using Netflix, so if you use this hack, remember, you didn't hear it from us. But here's how you can trick the system into letting you watch near-unlimited Netflix video downloads.
- Aw, Indexed got a book deal! That's great!
- Now video games are getting blamed for a recent decline in Australian pet ownership. Um... we have video games, and a dog. It's really not that hard to juggle them both. Anyway, apparently America could be looking at a big decline in pet ownership, too, if this is true, as use of video game consoles is going up. Nielsen, the folks behind the TV ratings stuff, have released a State of the Console report which reveals that one-third of TV owners play video game consoles.
- XPN has a couple of sweet downloads for us today: a new track each from Wilco and local favorites Hail Social. Rock!
- And finally, word, rabbit. Word.
