The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you.

- Read this and weep. It's the results of the Superbrawl of Rock listener voting contest that 94.1 Free FM had Super Bowl weekend. Now, we kind of like Disturbed - at least, we like their cover of "Land of Confusion" - and Linkin Park can be all right, too, but how in the hell did those two bands end up in the final when people like Pearl Jam, Tool, Ozzy Osbourne, Nirvana, and Rage Against the Machine were involved?! We fear for the future of music in our city.
- We all know about Google's various search platforms - images, web, maps - but in case you're looking for a more evil alternative, Microsoft has pretty much the same set of platforms on a website called Live Search. The map feature is pretty snazzy. We can totally see our
houseworkplace from here! Plus, you can search the city in 3D, get real-time traffic info, and create collections of things, like all your favorite Philly bars. Nice. - Speaking of evil versions of already existing applications, Wal-Mart finally launched its video download store. But we don't like to go into Wal-Mart in the real world, so why would we go there virtually?
- Weird Science remake?? The chances of that being a good movie are pretty much nil.
- Ian Fleming's Jamaican retreat, Goldeneye, could become a vacation resort for Bond-loving tourists.
- A teaser trailer for the weird zombie comedy Fido is available for viewing. Being a teaser, it hasn't got much to show us, but we remain intrigued about this movie. (Via)
- Need something to occupy your ears at work, but bored of all your music? Why not Listen to a Movie? Yep, this website lets you stream to your desktop low quality audio of the entire soundtrack of various movies. We imagine this might get a little frustrating, as you might find yourself constantly wanting to see what's going on, but maybe it'd be fun, especially if it's a movie you're already familiar with. - Interesting: Steve Jobs would like iTunes to be DRM-free, too. It's the music companies that require that crap.
- Yes, it's a scientific fact: video games are good for you. A new study shows that action games improve visual processing by 20 percent.
- You all remember that cool Wii laptop that Engadget made, right? Well, they finally finished posting all three parts of their how-to guide, so now you can make one, too!
- You can play Pong on this lady's dress, if you're nice to her. (Via)
- Sony has decided to go with Nintendo's strategy of accessing untapped markets and is starting by going after a particularly unlikely one: opera fans! "Sony is sponsoring a production of La Boheme this month at the 103-year old London Coliseum," and there will be plenty of PS3 demo units in the foyer for the attendants. They'll also be broadcasting the show online. Crazy!
This is about as close as we thought Sony and opera would ever come - a photo of an opera house taken with a Sony camera, by Flickr user druss101
