Once in a while, some major assault on English Grammar as we know it offends our editorial sensibilities so deeply that we don't know how to channel our frustration.
Or we didn't until now.
Enter Proofreading Philly, a new post-it-as-we-see-it feature here on Phillyist that will give us a forum for said offenses. We'll try to capture typos, wordos, and all other kinds of grammatical mistakes that we see around the city. But we need your help! Email photos to us from your computer or your phone, and show the city that you care about good grammar.

Our first Proofreading Philly photo was captured with this Phillyist's camera phone as she ran down Spruce Street, perilously close to late for a morning meeting. Late or not, she couldn't let the misplaced apostrophe (it's hard to see, because of the morning glare, but you'll notice it if you look) go unnoticed.
Nancy Alperin of Maxwell Realty? You might want to proofread next time.

That misplaced apostrophe has bothered me since the sign was debuted. Thanks for the new forum to vent on poor grammar; now my husband won't have to listen to me bitch about such things any more. ;)
