The best of the internet, chopped into tiny bits and grilled for your enjoyment.

- A short, sobering science documentary on the effects of drugs on spiders. Tee hee. (Via)
- More YouTube fun: the trailer for what is supposedly a horror film, but what looks like just about the funniest comedy ever to us: Black Sheep. Yeah, you've just got to watch it. (Via)
- Sundance 2007 is coming! Cinematical has picked out the films they're interested in; Download Squad has learned that some of the films will be available to purchase online via the iTunes Music Store by January 22nd; and Table of Malcontents will be covering the whole festival for us.
- Another event Table of Malcontents will be covering is the East Coast sci fi con Arisia. (Wow. That Green Lantern is hot.)
- Even after watching the trailer, we can't decide whether we think Blades of Glory - the Will Ferrell/Jon Heder figure-skating movie - is going to be hilarious or totally stupid. But we're leaning toward totally stupid. (Via)
- You, oh denizens of the internet, can have a large part in deciding this year's Wired 40! Just head on over here and vote on Wired's list of the 25 tech trends they think are going to be big this year, or suggest your own. (Via)
- Speaking of Wired, here are their picks for the best and worst of CES. (Via)
More after the jump...
- News flash: Americans love to procrastinate more and more every year! We know this thanks to a Canadian study; the scientist behind it adds, "That stupid game Minesweeper -- that probably has cost billions of dollars for the whole society." Heh. Yeah, we haven't played that in a while. We might need to launch it right now. Whiz can wait for another couple of minutes...
- This is pretty awesome - not only has this dude figured out how to hack his iPod to play Doom, he's also managed to link it up with a NES controller so he doesn't have to use the clumsy click wheel to control the game. Brilliant! (Via)
- Playing video games with your mate can help your relationship. Science says!
- Shatner's leaking info all over the place about the new Trek movie. Turns out they really want him in the movie - the trick is to find a role for him, seeing as how the flick is going to be about the young Kirk and Spock.
- Cinematical dug up a list of links to 13 episodes of the Legend of Zelda cartoon show on YouTube, and has passed them onto us, so we pass them onto you! The internet is love.
- Ooh, ooh! Sci Fi Channel's going to do a Flash Gordon show!
- Phillyist saw and reviewed the Wicker Man remake a while back - but not this Phillyist. So we were fascinated to discover that it's pretty weird, and mainly seems to involve Nicolas Cage going up to young ladies and messing up their shit - at least as far as we can tell from the 2 minutes and 7 seconds of it compiled in this YouTube video. (Warning: spoilers abound.) (Via)
