The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.

- The blog Strange Maps brings us the tourist map of Gotham, complete with plenty of interesting tidbits of history and trivia about the Dark Knight's home town. (Via)
- Check it out, the Pinball Locator! It's a user-contributed, searchable database of every place you can go in the world to play pinball. Sadly, there's only one spot listed in Philly as of this writing. If you know any others, go and add them immediately. It's for the good of the internet. (Via)
- This week, you can help Engadget pick the nominees for its 2006 Engadget Awards, in categories like Game Console of the Year, Gadget of the Year, Robot of the Year, and Wearable Device of the Year, among many others. (Inside joke: We nominate Trotwood for Robot of the Year!) (Via)
- Speaking of things of the year, Joystiq has picked its Game of the Year, and it's the much-heralded Gears of War. We have to sadly admit that we haven't played it, but we have played and adored all of the runners-up, including of course the fantastic Twilight Princess, so we guess we'll take their word for it.
- What's with all the porn showing up on hardware and software devices that kids got for Christmas? First there was the homemade sex video that one girl got on her Zune, and now there's this story about a young boy whose copy of Madden for Xbox 360 came with an unwanted XXX bonus. How does this happen? And why doesn't it happen to us? Our copy of Madden for Wii had no porn on it, just a really complicated game that so far we really suck at. Still, we bet this kind of thing has actually been occurring a lot more frequently than we've heard about, but when an adult receives such a gift, they don't complain about it...
More after the jump...
- Scott Weinberg on Cinematical wasn't content with just one top ten best movies of 2006 list; instead, he gives us ten. Good lord. Doesn't narrow it down all that much, does it? And Cinematical didn't stop there! They also picked out the best of the worst movie posters of 2006 (read: the ones they had the most fun making fun of), and the seven Most Important Things to Happen in Film in 2006.
- The other movie blog we read (that being The Movie Blog) is also summing up 2006 with its Top 10 Stories of 2006 and 10 Best Films of 2006 posts. V for Vendetta? Really?
- Holy crap. Johnny Depp might play Freddie Mercury in the Queen lead singer's upcoming biopic. When we think Mercury, we don't think Depp. But we believe Depp is capable of pretty much anything, so he could probably pull this off somehow.
- The latest cool thing from the Grindhouse camp? It's the poster for the movie. Perfect in every way. Have we mentioned we can't wait to see this movie? (Via)
- The most recent Hannibal movie kind of turned us off the franchise altogether, but we were still curious to see the trailer for the upcoming sequel, Hannibal Rising - terrible title notwithstanding. Sadly, it's not very promising. We think we'll give it a miss. (Via)
- Holy crud! Word is Val Kilmer might star in Real Genius 2! Sure, it will probably suck, but we can't help but be really excited about the idea. Real Genius 2! With Val Kilmer! Brilliant! (Via)

Trotwood should absolutely be named Robot of the Year.
