Indie music scene darling Emily Haines - lead singer of Metric and sometime member of Broken Social Scene - is coming to town, hitting the First Unitarian Church's Sanctuary this Sunday. Her latest album, Knives Don't Have Your Back, is being called a solo album, even though she did it in collaboration with backing band The Soft Skeleton; members of the band should be joining her on stage Sunday night. But regardless of who she's with, we recommend you check out Ms. Haines. Her stuff is always good, and Knives is no exception - it's loaded with beautiful, atmospheric indie pop.
Luckily for you, we're giving you a chance to check her out for free! Fill out the form below before the end of the day this Friday (1/5) and you could win a pair of tickets to Sunday night's show - which will include feature film projections by director Guy Maddin, and an opening performance by Tall Firs. So what are you waiting for? Get entering!
