The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you.

- Jess at Apropos of Something has exposed himself (and his friends!) to the horror that is the Jones Soda Holiday Pack - so we don't have to! His reviews of sodas with flavors like "Pea," "Turkey and Gravy," and "Dinner Roll" are both amusing and slightly nauseating. Just like the holidays!
- Speaking of the holidays, here's a holiday gift from us to you. Be careful when unwrapping at work; there's nothing in there you couldn't hear or see on regular prime time TV, but we still strongly suggest headphones. (Via)
- A list whose time has come: The Top 10 Creepiest Fast Food Mascots. We don't find Grimace creepy - actually, we kind of love the big purple guy - but the two versions of Ronald McDonald belong here, there's no question about that. Also, even though we think those Burger King and Quiznos commercials are pretty hilarious, we understand why the Quiznos...thing and The King ended up on the list. (Via)
- AskMen.com - not normally a site we frequent - has provided us with something worthwhile this time: a "How To" guide on faking your own death. Awesome. (Via)
- We like to bring you the simple pleasures here at Whiz - pleasures like seeing Spider-Man jump between two cars as they race around a track, each tilted up on only two wheels. Yee haw!
More after the jump...
- Lots of Wii news, both happy and sad. First, the good news: Wii weather is live! It's the funnest way to get weather ever! Meanwhile, the Opera browser for Wii, which will allow us to put our Wiis all over the regular internet, is coming our way, as are rechargeable Wii remote batteries. Super Mario Bros. may be Nintendo's Christmas day re-gift to us, along with a handful of other games; Following Revolution has the hack and the graphics to even sort of prove it (via Amy). Of course, if you celebrate Hannukah instead, you could have fun using your menorah as a sensor bar replacement. That's it for the good news; the bad news is that we may have to wait until late 2007 for Metroid and Mario on the Wii, and Zelda on the DS, and we definitely have to wait until February 12th for Wii Play, which is a bunch of minigames that comes with a free Wii remote (or the other way around, depending on how you look at it).
- Disney proper is going back to hand-drawn animation, leaving the Pixar division to do the CGI stuff alone. We think this is good news. We think.
- You'll probably read a lot of year-end top 10 movie lists around this time, but Stephen King's is kind of unique. We deeply, deeply disagree with him about numbers 6 and 7, and we suspect we'd disagree with his number 8 as well if we'd seen it. But we like his number 3 pick and we hear only excellent things about his number 4 and number 1 picks, so maybe he's not all wrong. (Via)
- If you care to torture yourself with bad video, you can head on over and check out iFilm's Worst Trailers of 2006 collection. You masochistic freak. (Via)
- This video recounts the story of a UFO spotted during the Apollo 11 mission. Buzz and the guys were afraid they'd be asked to "turn back because of aliens," so they didn't tell mission control about it until much later. Instead, they went to sleep. The UFO has never been identified or explained. Crazy. (Via)

Thanks to the horrors of the taste test, that should probably read "former friends." ;)
