We're back, people, with your regular steaming hot pile of all our favorite things from around the internets.

- Chris at the Invincible Super-Blog is getting some new readership thanks to the fact that his blog was mentioned on G4 (go Chris!), so to get all these fresh, clueless readers up to speed, he tried to sum up what his blog was all about with a few to-the-point phrases, and with the page that started his obsession with comics in the first place. We have to agree with his six-year-old self: that is totally the greatest comics page of all time. (Via)
- Just in time for Christmas, it's the 10 most dangerous play things of all time!! Now you can find just the right present to give to that little snot-nosed punk nephew of yours who never shuts the hell up! (Via)
- Speaking of the holidays, there's another one which, completely coincidentally, also happens about this time of year: Wookiee Life Day! In honor of this hallowed time, Jess at Apropos of Something has put together a little collection of soul-searing clips from the infamous, horrendous, unbelievably awful, you-must-see-it-to-believe-it Star Wars Holiday Special. Enjoy, folks, but do it with care - the SWHS can eat your mind!
- Our very favorite local indie band, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, has a new album coming out, and XPN has a free download of a song off of it! It's called "Underwater (You and Me)," and we like it! Click through and see if you like it, too.
- Speaking of music, how about some Death Cab for Cutie-style emo indie pop rock? Check out a video by Copenhagen, Denmark band Mew on YouTube. There are plenty more videos on there, too, if you like this one, and we do - and only partly because it has a pretty girl dancing in it. You can also, of course, visit Mew on MySpace, at their official site, or listen to more of their music on ClearChannel. (Via Carrie)
- Ah hah hah! The Tigers' pitcher missed three games during the American League playoffs due to a Guitar Hero injury. We're sorry the guy got hurt and everything, but that's hilarious.
More after the jump...
- Guillermo Del Toro might be directing a new Tarzan movie. Woo hoo!
- Awesome news: Harry Potter books will stay on the shelves of the school libraries in Georgia, despite a wacko mother who demanded they be taken off for promoting witchcraft. Wherever Star is, she's smiling right now.
- Apparently due to the many reports of
idiotsover-excited folks throwing their remotes across rooms and breaking things and people, Nintendo is actually recalling the Wii remote straps and replacing them with new ones that are almost twice as thick. UPDATE: Game|Life points out that it's not really a recall so much as they're giving you replacements if you want them. Penny Arcade has a slightly less thoughtful, but completely hilarious, take on the whole thing. - The Golden Globe nominations are out, and The Movie Blog has a handy list.
- The Die Hard 4 teaser trailer is online, folks! And hey, maybe it's the testosterone talking, but this movie looks TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME!!! We can't wait. (Via)
- Oh, sweet! Entertainment Weekly has photos from Grindhouse! Um...this may be the hottest picture ever. (Via)

I can't wait to see Kurt Russell do the villain thing.
Word. It's going to rock so hard.
