We're Not Really Back Yet

Yesterday morning, we lost our dear friend and co-editor, Star Foster. We instantly decided that we needed to put the site on hiatus for a few days to get things sorted out. The outpouring that we've received to that announcement, publicly and privately, has been overwhelming. Star was beloved by many, many people—even those who didn't know her—and we thank all of you for your words of love and comfort.

We're still mostly on hiatus, but there are a few posts that you'll see up between now and the time that we're officially back. These are posts that were scheduled before our hiatus announcement, not new materials, and they're all time-sensitive. Star was always very understanding about deadlines missed for personal reasons, but we really think that she'd hate knowing that any of our work went to waste because of her.

This isn't the last you'll hear about Star this week, and that's a good thing. She was an incredible person who we were lucky enough to get to know and love. If we can impart just some of what she meant to us to you, her readers... Well, we'll all be lucky.
