A tall, icy glass of our favorite internet junk, just for you.

- Looking for a fun board game either for yourself or a friend/relative? Matthew Baldwin of Defective Yeti near-fame is here to help you with his annual Good Gift Games Guide - always a good time. (Via)
- Folks have been getting serious about RPS lately, but that's nothing compared to how serious they used to be. (Via)
- Huh. Download Punk sounds cool. It's another music service like iTunes, but this one focuses on independent punk acts. The best part is, no nasty DRM; all files are plain old unprotected mp3s. (Via)
- Ooh! The ten finalists for the first annual Robot Award have been announced! Some of them are the boring kind of robots, but there's also a seal-bot, a sub-bot, and a build-it-yourself humanoid robot kit - for getting a head start on your robot army. (Via)
- Children of the '80s, thrill to the nostalgia! Here are the 50 Greatest Commercials of everybody's favorite decade. We learned it from watching you, okay!! (Via)
- The new trailer for 300 will be screening in front of Apocalypto when it comes out this weekend, and will also be available online on Friday. So look for the link to it in tomorrow's Whiz.
More after the jump...
- Cinematical has some bad news about Rocky Balboa (according to the brief preview/review in their post, it's not so good), but some nice news about Rocky himself - Stallone has donated a bunch of Rocky memorabilia to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Philly's hero is a part of American history, people! Stallone's comment? "I knew I was getting old, but I didn't think I would be with the dinosaurs so soon." Heh.
- Everybody's linking to another one of these re-mixed trailers, and we're going to go ahead and link to it, too, because it's pretty darn good. It's Marry Poppins...like you've never seen her before!! (Via pretty much everywhere)
- People really hate letting go of their Nintendo controllers. They were using their Wii remotes to control a Windows PC yesterday, and now we've got an espresso machine that's been altered so it can be run via a NES controller. All we can say is...brilliant!
- Speaking of DIY controller madness, how about playing Guitar Hero with a real guitar?! It's possible, but apparently also very, very difficult.
- Are Hillary and Lieberman preparing to make nice with the gamers to get their votes? Could be!
- That upcoming Terminator TV show called "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" has finally cast its John Connor. It'll be Thomas Dekker, or Zach from the sci fi TV show of the moment, "Heroes."
