Seeing as how today is PS3 launch day, and this coming Sunday is Wii launch day, we're making today's Whiz a steaming hot pile of our favorite video game-related things from around the internets. So, pretty much like normal, then...

- First of all, how do you get one of these nex gen consoles? Game|Life has the definitive guide.
- The official commercial for the Wii is available, and it's wildly popular, despite the fact that it's just an edited version of a video that went around the internet a while back. Weeeeeeee...
- If you plan on picking up a Wii for you and your friends to play with, you may also want to plan on extending your living room. Swinging around all those virtual tennis rackets together takes up a lot of space!
- Joystiq points out that for your own health and sanity, you might want to rethink your plans to wait in line for the PS3 (although by now, we assume you've already made your decision on that point). Game|Life seems to agree, as they've posted stories about PS3 campers getting shot and robbed.
- Australian scientists, who are apparently the most awesome scientists in the world, have made a shirt that can transform your air guitar (or air drumming) into real music, via motion sensors in the elbows "that detect chord picking and strumming movements." A wireless transmitter sends the info to a computer, which then outputs the music. Brilliant!
- Game|Life has the low-down on what will really (wiilly?) be available on Wii launch day in terms of games and services.
- But hey, what if you want that other next gen console? You know, the Microsoft one that came out a while back? Well, Amazon might be able to hook you up for only 100 bucks.
